Nominations sought for federal disease prevention committee

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is soliciting nominations for appointments to the new Secretary's Advisory Committee on National Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Objectives for 2020. The committee will advise and assist in the development of national health promotion and disease prevention initiatives, particularly those that reduce health risks for Americans. The government is seeking nominees with expertise across a broad range of areas related to health promotion, disease prevention, and public health benchmarking. Nominations are due Sept. 20.
