Information Technology: Email scams

Several WSU students, faculty and staff recently reported receiving email messages asking for verification of their Citibank or Citizens Bank account information. These email messages look very authentic and legitimate, but they are a scam known as "phishing." It is an attempt to steal your identity and your money. Do not respond to these email messages or visit any websites they direct you to. Delete them from your inbox. If you have any concerns about an email and cannot find a suitable answer online, contact helpdesk@med.wayne.edu or helpdesk@wayne.edu.
