HHS Secretary Michael O. Leavitt has announced the establishment of a public health advisory panel to deal with potential threats and management of chemical, biological, nuclear and radiological agents. The National Biodefense Science Board will offer guidance on preventing, preparing for and responding to the release of such agents, whether they are naturally occurring, accidental or deliberate.
