Student Employment: College Work-Study notice

Avoid exceeding College Work-Study limits
College Work-Study students may be approaching earnings limits for the 2004 spring/summer award period, ending Aug. 29. Please review student employees to ensure limits are not exceeded.

Units must submit a New Hire Forms for those students who received College Work-Study awards for the 2004-05 period, which begins Aug. 30 and ends May 8, 2005. All student assistants and College Work-Study awardees must be either an undergraduate student who carries at least six credit hours during the semester or a graduate student carrying at least four credit hours during the semester. It is suggested that these students average no more than 20 work hours per week. Students who do not enroll for the requisite number of credit hours must released from the payrolls unless they declare an off semester.

For more information on these policies, please contact Cheryl Dove or Rodney Cole in Career Planning and Placement Services at (313) 577-3390.
