NIH seek applicants for health disparities grant
The National Institutes of Health are seeking applications for the "Cultural Competence and Health Disparities Academic Award," designed to enhance the culturally sensitive abilities of health care professionals to address disparities in the diagnosis and treatment of various disorders and diseases. The award, administered by the NIH National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, will allow medical institutions to develop curricula and educational materials on health disparities and culturally competent approaches to mitigating these disparities.
