Human Resources launches program for supervisors
Wayne State University Human Resources has announced a new Core Supervisor Development Training Program. The program will enable WSU supervisors to take responsibility for superior performance and service delivery in an environment of change and uncertainty; empower supervisors to apply effective management skills and use appropriate WSU resources in the leadership of work groups; link work unit performance goals to overall university priorities and achieve measurable objectives; and facilitate participants' access to and interaction with senior leaders and colleagues across the organization. Supervisors of all levels are welcome to register for this program.

Registration for the first program, which starts Sept. 14, is due by Sept. 1. All programs run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Room 3700, A/AB, on one day for each of five consecutive weeks. For more information or to self-register, log onto the WSU Pipeline and go to the "Employee" tab. Click on "Training, Seminars, Workshops" for a course listing and go to the "Supervisory Training" section.
