Drs. Moghissi, Yelian invited to speak in China

Kamran S. Moghissi, M.D., WSU professor of obstetrics and gynecology, and Frank Yelian, M.D., Ph.D., WSU associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology, recently were invited to speak at a series of lectures in China. At the 14th International Symposium of Gynecological Endoscopy, in Beijing, Dr. Moghissi presented a paper on the management of endometriosis and Dr. Yelian spoke on uterine abnormalities and infertility. In Hangzhou, the faculty members presented keynote lectures at the Zhejiang Genecology and Infertility Symposium, which featured a meeting of all the physicians in the district. Dr. Yelian's talk was "Update on Diagnosis and Management of PCOS," and Dr. Moghissi spoke on "Medical Treatment of Endometriosis." Both were awarded adjunct professorships by the host institution, Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In Longyou Regional Hospital, Dr. Moghissi spoke on "Risks and Benefits of Hormone Replacement Therapy," while Dr. Yelian presented "Evaluation and Management of Infertility." They were honored at a reception given by the mayor of the city, president of the hospital and the director of public health.
