Dr. Rosenberg's NIMH grant renewed

David Rosenberg, M.D., Miriam L. Hamburger Endowed Chair of Child Psychiatry, recently received notification of the competitive renewal of his National Institute of Mental Health K24 Mid-career Investigator Award. This represents 15 years of continuous funding from the National Institutes of Health, which includes three current R01 grants on which he serves as principal investigator. This also sets the stage for a 10-year K05 Senior Scientist Development Award at the end of his K24 renewal. Dr. Rosenberg's work focuses on improving the diagnosis and treatment of childhood onset neuropsychiatric disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety.

In addition, Dr. Rosenberg recently learned that his symposium, "The Neurochemistry of Pediatric Neuropsychiatric Disorders," was accepted for presentation at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Annual Meeting, in San Diego, in October. Dr. Rosenberg will chair the symposium.
