Dr. Abrams receives Distinguished Service Award

Gary Abrams, M.D., WSU professor and chair of ophthalmology at the Kresge Eye Institute, recently received the Distinguished Service Award at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology Annual Meeting, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Dr. Abrams was recognized for his service as president of the organization and his membership on ARVO's Board of Trustees. The organization is the largest vision research organization in the world with more than 11,000 members from throughout the world.
