WSU Lions Hearing Center awarded $100,000 in grants

The WSU Lions Hearing Center of Southeast Michigan has been awarded more than $100,000 in grants to develop programs that prevent and address hearing loss, especially in infants and children. The organization received a $75,000 grant from the Lions Clubs International Foundation, a $25,000 grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation and a $6,000 grant from the Sinai Guild. The funds will be used for several projects involving testing, treatment, research and education, including a public-service campaign to promote awareness and understanding of hearing-loss disabilities.
