Three residents in the WSU Department of Internal Medicine recently learned that their poster has been accepted for oral presentation at the International Academy of Cardiology's 12th World Congress on heart disease, in Vancouver, B.C. Dr. Yelena Selektor along with co-authors Drs. Tarik Hanan and Haroon Faraz will present "Is Troponin Elevation as a Single Variable Sufficient to Refer a Patient for Cardiac Catheterizations?" Dr. Patrick McLaughlin has served as their mentor, and Dr. Jorge Guzman, WSU associate professor of internal medicine, has also provided support.
