Drs. Freedman, Heppner to participate in study on research behavior

Robert Freedman, Ph.D., and Gloria Heppner, Ph.D., both WSU School of Medicine faculty members, recently were notified that they have been invited to participate in a Columbia University study on how top National Institutes of Health grantees affect research productivity of their colleagues. Drs. Freedman and Heppner were identified as two of 2,500 researchers who were in the 95th percentile of the distribution of extramural NIH grants during the past 25 years. Dr. Freedman is a professor of psychiatry and obstetrics & gynecology, and Dr. Heppner is WSU associate vice president for research.
