Dr. Mirza wins Young Investigator Award

Dr. Yousha Mirza, a child and adolescent psychiatrist working in Dr. David Rosenberg's clinical research program, recently received the 2006 International Congress of Neuropsychopharmacology Young Investigator Award. The award includes travel expenses, a stipend and registration fees for the XXV CINP Congress in Chicago in July, where Dr. Mirza will present an abstract on brain imaging findings that distinguish children who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder alone vs. children with ADHD and another psychiatric disorder. Dr. Mirza's work may have potentially important implications for better treatment of children with ADHD. Dr. Rosenberg, Dr. Mirza's mentor, holds the Miriam L. Hamburger Endowed Chair of Psychiatry and is director of the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Clinical Research Program as well as professor and chief of child psychiatry and psychology.
