Mark Zilberman, M.D., assistant professor of pediatrics, in collaboration with Peter Karpawich M.D., professor of pediatrics and director of cardiac electrophysiology, presented research work entitled "Alternate Site Atrial Pacing in the Young" at the 2005 Scientific Session of the American Academy of Pediatrics, in Washington D.C.

Pooja Gupta MD, a fellow in pediatric cardiology, received the First Prize Award for Cardiology Fellows following her research presentation, "Pacing-induced Cardiomyopathy," at the American College of Cardiology, Michigan Chapter annual scientific session held in Traverse City. Dr Gupta's work was mentored by Dr Karpawich.
