Dr. Crissman recognized by Case Western

John Crissman, M.D., former dean of the WSU School of Medicine, is a proud member of Case Western Reserve University's notable alumni in health care and medicine list. The list, which also includes former U.S. Surgeon General David Satcher, M.D., Ph.D., recognizes Dr. Crissman for running the nation's fourth-largest medical school, graduating more than 250 new doctors each year to care for patients all over Michigan and throughout the country. Furthermore, Dr. Crissman successfully coordinated the WSU School of Medicine's faculty practice plans into a streamlined organization, the WSU Physician Group. A pathologist specializing in head and neck tumors, Dr. Crissman has written more than 250 papers and chapters on the study of cancer and the spread of malignant tumors. He continues to serve WSU as a professor of pathology and enjoys golfing and skiing in his off time.
