Nicole Jones, a second-year WSU School of Medicine student, recently received the American Society of Hematology Minority Medical Student Award. She will work with Drs. Michael Callaghan and Sharanda Sarnaik on a clinical research project examining genetic risk factors for stroke in sickle cell patients.
