Dr. Stemmler publishes paper in Chem Comm

Timothy L. Stemmler, Ph.D.,WSU assistant professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, published a paper "Human frataxin: iron and ferrochelatase binding surface" in a recent issue of Chemical Communications. Fraxtaxin is related to the neurodegenerative disease Freidrich's ataxia and to other disorders such as heart disease resulting from an inability to synthesize the heme component of hemoglobin.
