Richard A. Santucci, M.D., associate professor of urology, co-edited a new book, "Emergencies in Urology." The book, representing the most comprehensive guide to urologic emergencies, with illustrations by the work's preeminent urologic illustrator, will be available for purchase May 21. Dr. Santucci, chief of urology at Detroit Receiving Hospital, is one of few fellowship-trained reconstructive urologists in the country. He completed his clinical fellowship with Jack McAninch, M.D., at the University of California-San Francisco and a basic science fellowship sponsored by the National Institutes of Health at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, Calif. Co-editor Markus Hohenfellner, is a highly regarded urologist and serves as the chairman of urology at the University of Heidelberg, in Germany.
