Dr. Chaturvedi presents at stroke conference

Seemant Chaturvedi, M.D., WSU associate professor of neurology and director of the WSU/DMC Comprehensive Stroke Program, recently was invited to present at the 2005 International Stroke Conference, in New Orleans. Dr. Chaturvedi's study, "Optimal Level of Blood Pressure and Other Risk Factors in Patients with Symptomatic Intracranial Stenosis," found that a systolic blood pressure of less than 140 mm Hg was associated with better outcomes in patients with intracranial stenosis. The International Stroke Conference is sponsored by the American Stroke Association and is the foremost meeting for stroke clinicians and researchers.
