Dr. Marc D. Basson, WSU professor of surgery, has been invited to serve as a member of the National Institutes of Health Center of Scientific Review's Surgery, Anesthesiology and Trauma Study Section. Members are selected on the basis of achievement in their discipline as demonstrated by the quality of their research accomplishments, publications and significant scientific activities and honors. Study sections review NIH grant applications submitted and make recommendations on them.
