PhD student receives NIAID predoctoral training fellowship

Keith Fusinski, a WSU School of Medicine PhD student in the Department of Immunology and Microbiology, recently received funding from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for a predoctoral training fellowship, entitled "Identification of the adipogenic genes of Adenovirus 36." The project, sponsored by Thomas Holland, PhD, a WSU associate professor of immunology and microbiology, will focus on the mechanisms involved in the upregulation of adipocyte differentiation due to adenovirus infection.
