Dr. Stanton to edit textbook recognized as international standard

Bonita Stanton, MD, WSU chair of pediatrics, has been named an editor of the 18th edition of the "Nelson Textbook of Pediatrics." For more than 60 years -- nationally and internationally -- the Nelson textbook has been the gold standard in pediatric textbooks.

Dr. Stanton, along with Drs. Robert Kliegman, chair of pediatrics at Wisconsin Medical College, and Hal Jenson, director of research at East Virginia Medical College, will serve as editor. Dr. Richard Behrman, former senior editor, will remain as an advisory editor. The book, published by W. B. Saunders Co., will be released in 2007.
