Fazlul Sarkar, Ph.D., WSU professor of pathology, recently was awarded a four-year, $1.2 million grant from the National Institutes of Health's National Cancer Institute. Dr. Sarkar's project, "Novel Targets of Indoles in Prostate Cancer," will examine the effects of diet on prostate cancer cells at a molecular level.
