Roberto Romero, MD, chief of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Perinatology Research Branch at the WSU School of Medicine, recently was named the winner of the 2004 Ian Donald Gold Medal. The award, granted by the International Society of Ultrasound of Obstetrics and Gynecology, recognizes Dr. Romero's long-standing contribution to the field of ultrasound.
