Rajaprabhakaran Rajarethinam, MD, of the WSU Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience, recently won a one-year, $30,000 Young Investigator Award from the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression. Dr. Rajarethinam plans to study whether imaging of a certain region in the brain can detect early aspects of schizophrenia in adolescents at risk for the disorder.
