Mark Marunick, D.D.S., M.S., WSU associate professor of otolaryngology, recently completed his term as president of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics at the organization's 52nd Annual Scientific Meeting in Ottawa, Canada. His presidency was characterized by efforts to unify all domestic and international prosthodontic organizations to allow for improved cooperation to advance the specialty for improved patient care.

In addition, Dr. Marunick's article "Hybrid gate design frameworks for the rehabilitation of the maxillectomy patient" was featured on the cover of the April 2004 issue of the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
