June Kan-Mitchell, Ph.D., associate professor of immunology and microbiology as well as pathology, has been chosen to be a member of the National Institutes of Health's Vaccines of Infectious Diseases Study Section within the Center for Scientific Review. Dr. Kan-Mitchell studies the fine specificities of human cytotoxic and helper T cells for the design of a novel class of vaccines for HIV-1 or cancers.
