Dr. Goodman receives Most ABLE Award

Morris Goodman, Ph.D., distinguished professor of anatomy and cell biology and the Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics, was named a recipient of the 2004 Most ABLE Award from Operation ABLE of Michigan. Dr. Goodman was cited for his exceptional achievements, positive work ethic and contribution to his organization. Operation Able presents the Most ABLE award at its annual Ability is Ageless event, which celebrates the workplace contributions of exceptional older employees. Dr. Goodman, 70, is most noted for his pioneering discoveries in the field of molecular evolution. He is a member of the prestigious Academy of Science and the WSU Academy of Scholars.

The award was announced Wed., Oct. 20, at a luncheon at the Dearborn Hyatt Regency attended by more than 400 people. Local newcaster and event emcee Carmen Harlen and university vice president for research Dr. John Oliver presented the award.
