Dr. Patricia Fernandez has been appointed assistant professor in the WSU departments of Neurological Surgery and Radiology. She is a fully trained neurosurgeon from Argentina and has done fellowships in neurooncology and skull-base surgery in the United States. She completed her radiology residency at the University of Tennessee before she went on to complete a three-year fellowship in endovascular surgical neuroradiology in New York. Her expertise is endovascular management of vascular malformations of brain and spinal cord as well as cerebral aneurysms. She also has a special interest in the treatment of acute stroke and stroke prevention.
