Eric Ayers, M.D., WSU assistant professor of internal medicine and pediatrics, has been nominated for the 2004 Association of American Medical Colleges Humanism in Medicine Award. Dr. Ayers was one of 64 physician faculty members nationwide to be recognized by the group for advancing the ideals of humanism in medicine, specifically, compassion, understanding and partnership. On Nov. 8, the AAMC will run a full-page ad in USA Today honoring Dr. Ayers and the other nominees.
