The Wayne State University School of Medicine 2005-06 Annual Report: Wayne First is hitting doorsteps now. The theme, which coincides with the university's capital campaign, highlights the first-rate education, research and patient care that the school provides in addition to its service to the community. The 105-page report also includes a special section honoring donors. Among the topics covered in the report's featured stories are:
- a new palliative care program;
- an National Institutes of Health grant awarded to a WSU researcher to study intracellular communication;
- leading-edge patient-simulation technologies;
- strategies for disaster management; and
- improving the health of ethnic minorities.
Members of the WSU School of Medicine community can expect to receive their copy of the annual report at their homes.
