In a nod to its exclusive new partnership with Wayne State, over the weekend the Detroit City Football Club (DCFC) held its annual kit reveal party for season ticket holders on campus in the Community Arts Auditorium. This year’s kit, or uniform, includes the university’s logo located prominently on the top back of Detroit City FC’s men’s and women’s jerseys. The WSU logo will also be on jerseys of Detroit-area youth teams.
Patricia Wren, chair of the WSU Department of Public Health and a DCFC community owner, provided welcoming remarks and expressed the university’s excitement about the partnership. Prior to the kit reveal the WSU student acapella club Melodytroit performed at a status of the club meeting.

As DCFC's exclusive higher education partner, Wayne State students, faculty and staff can access special ticket discounts through the DCFC Warrior Pass for matches throughout the season. Details about shuttles from campus to select games and a fall Wayne State Night with the Detroit City FC will be available soon.
Wayne State’s agreement with DCFC includes a robust internship program that extends Wayne State’s College to Career commitment by offering invaluable hands-on experience in areas such as sports management, marketing and event coordination.
The new Wayne State University-branded jerseys will debut during DCFC’s season opener on March 8 versus Miami FC. The first chance to see them in person will be March 22 at the club’s home opener against Birmingham Legion FC at Keyworth Stadium.
