Undergraduate students who complete at least 24 credits between fall 2019 and winter 2020 may be eligible for a 30% discount on tuition for spring/summer classes, providing tremendous financial savings and keeping them on track to graduate sooner. Open registration for spring/summer classes begins Monday, Feb. 10, and priority registration is Feb. 3-7.
To be eligible for the discount, students must have registered for and be slated to complete 24 credits between fall and winter, and must have had a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 at the end of fall 2019.
The Spring/Summer Tuition Break was introduced in 2015 to encourage students to complete more credits each academic year and get closer to graduation. The discount benefits students who choose to take fewer than 15 credits each term but make up the difference in the spring/summer to stay on target to finish in four years. It also helps students who want to graduate quickly and take more than the traditional 30 credit hours each academic year.
In either case, the financial savings is undeniable.
Spring/summer courses fill quickly, so students are encouraged to meet with their advisor to determine eligibility and to plan their academic schedule. Students can review the schedule of spring/summer classes and register online.
