The Warrior softball team season recently finished its 2014 season, setting the all-time school record with 19 consecutive victories, a third consecutive conference tournament title, and NCAA Regional and Super Regional titles — the first since 2010.

The season culminated with the team’s third trip to the College World Series in the last 12 years, where it finished as one of the top eight Division II schools.

In his 33rd year, Head Coach Gary Bryce became the 17th softball coach in the NCAA to reach 1,100 wins. Led by the dynamic pitching duo of Lyndsay Butler (GLIAC Pitcher of the Year) and Briana Lee (Second Team Daktronics All-American), the Warriors’ pitching staff set school records for most strikeouts (530) and most shutouts (27) in a season.

Senior outfielder Logan White was both a CoSIDA Academic All-American (3.80 cumulative GPA in media arts and studies) and an NFCA All-Midwest Region selection, leading WSU in batting (.399), total bases (92), stolen bases (12), runs (37) and hits (75).

WSU finished the year with a 46-12 record, the second best season in school history.
