Newsman was Detroit TV fixture
A Detroit News obit on longtime Channel 4 news reporter Bob Bennett includes information that memorial contributions may be made to the Bob Bennett Scholarship Fund at Wayne State University. Channel 4 mentioned the scholarship in a news broadcast. The popular Detroit TV newsman, who died Saturday, retired in 2000 after 32 years on the job.
