The nominations deadline is March 3 for three awards granted annually by the Alumni Association: Faculty Service Awards, Distinguished Alumni Awards and the Homer D. Strong Award.

The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to alumni for outstanding personal service to the university over a period of years; personal accomplishments that enhance the prestige of the institution; distinguished service or accomplishment in any field; or unusual and singular contributions to the development of the cultural or spiritual life of any community.

The Homer D. Strong Award is offered for service to the Alumni Association and the university that helps to stimulate alumni participation or is of significant benefit to the university through distinguished volunteer leadership.

The Faculty Service Award goes to faculty whose professional or civic efforts have brought about a greater appreciation of the university's contributions to community service. Nominations forms are available at Alumni House, 441 Ferry Mall. The forms, with supporting materials, must be returned to Charlene Walmsley at Alumni House by March 3.
