The third annual golf outing to support the Robert R. Frank Student-Run Free Clinic is scheduled for Aug. 20 at Chandler Park Golf Course, 12801 Chandler Park Drive in Detroit.

Proceeds support the provision of medical care provided by the clinic to more than 200 patients.

Admission, which includes a 12:30 p.m. lunch, event introduction and raffles and prizes, and a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start, is $100 per person; $60 per WSU medical student.

Event organizers have a number of sponsorship opportunities for non-golfers.

The Robert R. Frank Student-Run Free Clinic is a 501c3 non-profit urban clinic that provides comprehensive medical care to the uninsured residents of Detroit. Established in 2010 by WSU medical students and physician leaders who recognized the need for an additional clinic that provides health care to this population, the clinic provides patients with a wide array of services, including community education, laboratory testing, an in-clinic functional pharmacy, diagnostic procedures and ophthalmology services, all free of charge.
