Dean Mark Schweitzer responds to student questions

Mark Schweitzer, M.D., dean of the Wayne State University School of Medicine and vice president of WSU Health Affairs, conducted a town hall Aug. 26 to respond to questions and concerns from medical students.

During the hour-long recorded session, Dean Schweitzer offered remarks ranging from an explanation of the school’s financial situation and the need for a tuition increase to his perspective on treating students respectfully as physicians-in-training and expectations of professionalism whether related to maintaining coronavirus safety measures or sharing constructive feedback on lectures to initiating leadership training and new learning options to enhance student excellence.
