Amy Abouzied, M.D., Class of 2006, has joined Aria Health, the largest health care provider in northeast Philadelphia and Lower Bucks County, Pa., at its Center for Gynecology & Women's Health.

Dr. Abouzied, a specialist in adolescent gynecologic care and the treatment of endometriosis and pelvic prolapse, joined Aria Health from the Chicago area, where she practiced at Suburban Gynecology LLC.

After graduating from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in medical microbiology and immunology, she received her medical training at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and went on to complete residencies at the University of Maryland and Mercy Medical Center.

A junior fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Abouzied also serves as a member of the American Association of Gynecologists and Laparoscopists. She offers patients cutting-edge, minimally-invasive surgical techniques.
