Take Your Kid to Work Day returns April 25

The annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day will be observed nationally on Thursday, April 25, and all Wayne State faculty and staff are invited to participate in special programming throughout campus to celebrate.

Children ages 4-18 are invited to participate in a variety of fun and engaging activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities include, but are not limited to: planetarium shows, arts and crafts, campus tours, and access to WSU’s greenhouse, Natural History Museum, Geology Mineral Museum, Gordon L. Grosscup Museum of Anthropology and Elaine L. Jacob Art Gallery.

Lunchtime activities, which include a photo booth, appearances by “W” and face painting, will take place in the Towers Café from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children ages 10 and under can get discounted lunch for $5 if their parent purchases lunch at full price.

Reserve your spot now and bring your future Warrior to campus for the day! You must be present with your child at all times and will need to sign a waiver for fitness participation.

The event is free, but RSVPs are encouraged. For more information, contact Julie Hasse at 313-577-1287 or eg1926@wayne.edu.
